Pakistan-Bangladesh Today T20 Series, Danger of losing first place on the host team

Lahore, Jan 24 (Politics.com) Pakistan faces the challenge of securing world number one position in the T20 series against Bangladesh, where the team will lose the number one spot in the series. Pakistan's team is currently ranked first in the T20 World Rankings with 270 points, but Pakistan's first position is now in jeopardy due to successive defeats.

Pakistan's team failed to win a single T20 series last year, leaving only one mark difference between world number one Pakistan and number two Australia. Australia is currently ranked second in the world rankings with 269 points and if Pakistan's team loses a single match in the series against Bangladesh, the Australian team will become number one without playing any matches.

Pakistan will have to make a clean sweep in the series against Bangladesh in order to retain its world number one position and the team will come in second if not clean sweep. The first T20 match between the two teams will be played here tomorrow. Speaking on the occasion, Babar Azam, captain of the Pakistan team, said that the team is committed to better demonstrations and success for domestic fans.
